Taking Tips from Classic Fashion Icons

With all the brand new trends, styles, colors, tips and tricks floating around, it's easy to get a little bit of an identity crisis with the image overload.  One of the easiest ways to get back to the basics, is to submerse yourself in fashion and makeup that is proven to be timeless! I've done just that and have found some fashion patterns in the process. Below are some ladies who have been known for their unbelievable fashion sense. Take a look at what I've learned from each one!

Hair by Elizabeth - Usually known for her striking features, and sultry makeup, Elizabeth Taylor should also be recognized for her ever changing hair styles. Two of my favorites are these wavy, tousled locks and the curly pixie cut! Each carefree in their own way, but always able to dress up for a more glamorous look!

Makeup by Audrey - One thing I love about Audrey Hepburn was her ability to be a chameleon in the fashion world. She may be wearing a summer dress, an immaculate gown, or her classic black sweater and capris. No matter what her choice for the day, she killed it with her makeup. Ranging from simple eyeliner and mascara, or going all out with a retro glitter punch. Each style easily creatable and a perfect match for the 2013 spring/summer trends!

Glamor by Grace - When I think Grace Kelly, I think formal, glamor and gorgeous! Her ever-growing collection of brilliant formal gowns were enough to take your breath away. The cuts, styles, colors and patterns of each gown is still as classic as they come.

Casual and Radiant with Rita - If anyone could pull of the cute, bubbly, and casual look, Rita Hayworth would be the one! Her red hair and perfect smile were tailor-made to accompany this lovely lady. Wearing very simple pieces, she dressed each thing up with great hair and makeup. I love her highwaisted shorts in each of these photos below!

Catching the Waves with Marilyn - It should come as no surprise that Marilyn Monroe rocked the bikini! Her iconic measurements of 36" 24" 36", were made to slip into beautiful beachwear. As the retro bathing suit style becomes more popular for swimwear, we could take some tips from Marilyn as to how to rock the beach!

Topping it off with Jackie O - This dame knew how to wear her accessories!  With each outfit adorned with the most amazing sunglasses, hats, scarves, etc. Jackie Kennedy, may be one of the most iconic dressers. Never did she look anything but classy and put together! I love the oversized sunglasses. Each piece still in style and as classy as they come!
