Countown to V-Day: 4 gifts that won't miss

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. You got your plans, you got your outfit, you know exactly what you're doing with your hair and makeup. Then you see it. An article with the heading "25 Valentine's Day gifts under $100" Wait a minute!!! I have to get a gift too?! Now, hold on. Valentine's Day gifts aren't completely necessary, but if you're looking for a little extra something for your guy or gal, these gifts are great last-minute things that won't dent your wallet.

For Him

1. Whiskey: I've never met a guy who doesn't enjoy his occasional Whiskey. Depending on the brand, it could be really inexpensive or slightly above average. In my personal opinion, it's much better to splurge a little more to get the good stuff. It's an easy gift and he'll love it.

2. Sweater or Jacket: Knowing the kind of girl you are, you're probably pretty great at knowing your man's style. You could probably go into any store and know exactly what would look good on him! Find a great sweater or jacket that you know he will love! H&M is such a great place to go. Their men's sweaters are amazingly priced, with fashion forward cuts and very well made.

3. Men's Skincare: Hey, guys want great skin too! This will help. Get him the Jack Black Men's Skincare line! All together, it may be a little pricing (with most products in-between $25 - $50) But, one or two things would be a great gift. Here's a tip. Jack Black offers a great travel kit! It's a sample of 3 of the products in miniature sizes. This will give him a variety of products and he can try them to see if he likes them before getting the large size. Plus, it's a lot cheaper for you! You can get this at Sephora for $25!

4. Calvin Klein Boxer Briefs: Men tested and they say they're the best. Trust him on this one! Run to Macy's and pick up a pair of these for $30.

For Her

1. Earrings: Believe it or not, girls like their jewelry! But, a majority of them don't buy the incredibly expensive stuff! I have a few pieces that were pricey, but I will only wear them on a special occasion. Run to Forever 21 and look at their earrings. With most of them costing around $2.50 each, you could get 5 pairs and give her some variety! Mix up the styles, get a silver pair, get a gold pair, go crazy! She'll love them!

2. Candles: My house, and a lot of other chick's houses, are filled with amazing scented candles! It may sound lame, but these can actually make great gifts! One brand inparticular is my favorite. Got to Francesca's Collections in any of the malls in the surrounding area and ask the ladies to show you where the Voluspa brand candles are. She will love ANY and ALL of the scents. My favorite is the Suede Blanc. With these candles running around $30, it's a great gift idea for something she may not spend the money on herself.

3. Lingerie: If you're feeling a little daring, run into Victoria's secret and pick up some lingerie. They have great sales and promotions. Plus, they throw them all in a pretty pink bag with tissue paper, so you don't have to worry about wrapping! These panties are part of the 3 for $33 Valentine's Day promo they have going on right now.

4. The Sephora "Scent Finder": Sephora has a great little helper in many of their stores. It's a screen next to the fragrances that asks a few simple questions about your gal's style and interests to help you find a perfume that is perfect for her. Most girls have a signature fragrance, but let's not forget, they want YOU to love the way they smell as well. What better way to guarantee this, than for you to pick it out yourself! The "Scent Finder" questionnaire will help you narrow down some possibilities, all that can be purchased at the store. One great thing, is that a lot of the scents come in travel sizes or perfume rollers, so you can buy a small quantity of the scent you choose. (Just in case, in the off chance she isn't particularly keen on the scent you chose for her)

I hope this helped you come up with your final step before V-Day! Thanks for following along with my countdown! I hope you have a great day tomorrow!

Syd/O, Human Holiday!
