Double Dip

Mixing prints can sometimes be a pretty risqué move in fashion.  This was my go-to look for "Clash" day in gradeschool (plaid on top/floral on bottom?) so it was difficult to see myself doubling up on prints, yet still remaining fashionable.  When mixing the right prints and colors the finished look is amazing, and its a great way to add variety to your looks using the same pieces!  The key is to have a similar theme between the prints whether it be color or pattern.  I've posted a few of my favorite looks using the "Double Print" trend.

Im loving this version of the trend.  It's a bit more daring and pushes the limit! They are both very bold pattens, but it works! She has tied the look together by paring red pumps which makes the look appear balanced and not too clashy.

When going with a bold pattern or animal print its best to stick with another more subdued pattern like polka dots. The look can appear messy and overwhelming if both patterns are too busy.

When in doubt stripes and floral patterns are always a go-to. This look is fun and flirty.  The simple color combo of the striped top make it easy to pair with bold patterns.

Solange Knowles has clearly mastered the trend and wears it with confidence- which is key! No matter how bold or daring the look, you have to own it :)
