The 4th of July is just around the corner, and if you're like me, most of the day will be spent outside. Luckily this 4th is supposed to be gorgeous with the highs in the 80's, but as we all know well, Missouri weather is an evil minx that can't seem to make up her mind.
To still look put-together, but fit for the summer weather, here are some great DIY ideas for your festive 4th fashion.
Let me know what you think! What are your go-to 4th outfit?
I hope you have a safe and happy 4th of July!

I'm in love with these lace details! This kind of lace can be bought cheaply at any fabric store. Cut a little piece out of the side of the denim cut-offs and overlap with the lace. You can sew it on if your handy with a needle, or if you plan on throwing something together specifically for your 4th outfit, some drops of hot-melt glue will keep it in place for the day. |

The 4th of July Staple is really the flag shorts! Make yourself a star stencil if you're not great at perfect star shapes. The one thing that will make these look great, is the perfect shapes and straight lines. Masking tape, some white and red paint, and you're set! |

Add character to simple cut-off shorts, by scalloping the edges instead of cutting straight across. |

DIY Sharpie Shorts: That's right! These bleached denim shorts got their tribal print character with a little time and a great Sharpie marker. Use this pattern to create the same look, or come up with one on your own! This may become the staple for my 4th of July outfit. :) | | | | | | | | |
