Happy Sunday & Happy Easter!
This week is all about spring colors and Easter outfits. We put together some great outfits for our Easter Sunday celebrations and are excited to share them with you.
Danni has got an adorable white, floral printed dress and black Tildin strappy heels. She kept her jewelry minimal here because of the adorable black bow detail of the halter dress.
Syd is wearing a royal blue lace dress with fun floral underneath. For some pops of color, she focused on a few turquoise pieces and tied it all together. In preparation for the chillier weather, the threw on a salmon colored Lauren Moffatt cropped coat.

Blue Jean Baby
A look I've been seeing more often this Spring is the Denim dress. Seems like more of a throwback to the 70's look, but its easy to throw a modern twist on the decades finest to make it your own. Denim is a staple piece and can be worn with anything and can add an edge to any outfit. I've picked a few of my favorite denim looks showing its versatility-perfect for Spring and transition into Summer.

Pair a vintage inspired sweater over a form fitting denim dress to create a feminine and laid back look |
I'm loving the knee high socks with this look. Adding the leather jacket adds a some edge to this sweet/girly look. |
This look is simple, but looks amazing. Pair your favorite boots and jacket to create a casual day look. |
Denim tops are a must- you can do so much with them! Paired with your favorite skirt, create a cool evening look perfect for a night out |

Easter Sunday & Fashion's Finest
This weekend is Easter Sunday. Many of you, including myself, may be
celebrating this holiday. You may be heading out early on Sunday morning for church with your family, or catching up with them later in the
afternoon for picnic and Easter egg hunt! If this you, you can be sure
that a few things are expected of you...
1. You must kiss your Grandmother.
2. You must dress in your Easter finest to appease your Mother.
Every Easter growing up, my Mother, Sister and I would go shopping for an Easter dress. The outfits usually entailed some sort of floppy hat or bow, a ruffled and floral dress and white patten leather shoes. I suppose not much has changed since then. Okay, maybe the bow isn't as big, and the shoes don't fasten with Velcro, but finding an Easter outfit is still on your to-do list for this week.
Look no further! I have made a few collages of great Easter outfits! They will be perfect for the 64 degree weather on Sunday, will appeal to your Mother and still keep you looking stylish, fresh and ready for Spring! Best of all, each look is easily adaptable to fit your budget and taste. Check out these great looks and comment below.

Start this look out with an adorable dress with funky pattern. Balance out the wild pattern with some great color blocking in your shoes and hand bag. Finish it off with some great earrings in a lovely spring color! |
Not ready to let go of your favorite Fall/Winter blazer yet? I don't blame you! You can still put together a great Easter outfit without having to buy all new spring-wear. Add a great pop of color to your outfit with beautiful bag. Don't forget to liven up the fall/winter colors with a great lipstick! |
Hint #2: Throwing on a nice suit never killed anyone. ;) |

Casual Chic
I like the idea of taking a great "dressy" statement piece and dressing it down to add some edge. I've created a look using a Alexander McQueen gold blazer and paired it with a vintage tee, vest, chic heels and handbag. It's a very RocknRoll look- perfect for late night drinks or a concert. I've seen many "sequened" blazers that have a similar look and its always hard to create an outfit out of them..unless its New Years of course. Dressing the blazer down allows the look to appear more balanced and you can get away with adding fun accessories. So don't be afraid of bold statement pieces! :)

EtsyConnoisseur
With a new season, comes a lot of research of new and exciting trends. Within the past few years, I've noticed that before I buy anything at the store, I've researched it and compared prices online first. Now that this is a Pinterest world, and all of us are living in it, finding the perfect piece to complete your favorite outfit, or finding the handmade accessory you would have never thought existed, has never been easier. I'm sure many/all of you are familiar with Etsy.com, so I'm not going to take the time to fill you in. However, I would LOVE to guide you through some of my favorite Etsy shops. Check these out! You won't be sorry.

There's An App For That!
So, I may be way behind on this..but I came across this amazing application on Pinterest today. It's called Cocoppa, and its an app that allows you to completely customize your homescreen. You can apply already created designs the the icons you have downloaded to your phone. The first picture is my homescreen- I went a little overboard redesigning my icons, but they're so cute! You can also create shortcut links to your phone using phone, email, message, and safari. I havn't played around with the app to see what else you can do, but I had to share! The biggest thing to remember is to NOT delete the original icon from your screen because it will completely delete the application data- I kept all mine in a folder. This app should keep me occupied for a while :) Enjoy!

OHH! Trend Sundays
This week was very busy- Syd lost her wisdom teeth and I've been busy at work, but we met up to share some Spring looks we created :) Syd loves thrifting as seen by her post here, and she has a knack for creating unique pieces with what she finds. She completely rehabbed a vintage peplum dress and it looks amazing! (Note to self, go to Syd with any dress ideas). She completed the look with coral earrings and flats.
I found these "tulip" pants by Mother a few months ago and have been trying to figure out how to wear them. I paired them with a simple white blazer and brown heels to keep the focus on the pants and not add too much to the outfit. We completed both of our looks with the always amazing YSL #49 lipstick.
Next time you're out thrifting, don't hesitate to buy that dress or jacket to play around with and make it your own- You might end up creating something great.

Safari Chic
As I was walking through H&M yesterday, I couldnt help but notice all of the "Safari" inspired clothing (as I like to describe it). A lot of greens, wide brimmed hats, and animal prints. This trend was very popular a couple years ago, and it seems its made its way back. I'm loving the mixture of textures and prints and I'm always down for a chic wide-brimmed hat. To me, this look doesnt come off as trendy, but classic. Pairing a white button down with khaki or hunter green pants/heels is a great everyday look. You can remain "on trend" while still using classic pieces from your wardrobe- win, win. So what do you think-everyday chic or save it for safaris?

Festival Fashion
South by Southwest is over, but we have a ton more music festivals on the way as the warmer months begin! I love researching festival fashion and all the creative looks fellow festival goers come up with! The key to festival fashion is keeping it easy, breezy and beautiful (Not talking about CoverGirl here). Generally, festivals are hot, sweaty and dry. Every once in a while you get the rainy days. It's best that a girl is prepared! Backpacks and large bags are a great way to make sure you're girl-scout ready for anything. Looking good won't be hard, just take some notes on these babes and their festival wear!

Out With The Mini, In With The Midi
One of my go-to Spring looks is a flowy midi-skirt and cropped tee/cute jacket. Its a great way to transition into the warmer weather. The midi-skirt made its comeback from the 70's a couple years ago, and is still hanging around. It's important to have fun with the midi-skirt and pair with cute heels and top to add some sassiness to the outfit. Keep a slim fit up top or add a fun belt to keep from losing your shape- gotta show off that figure :) I think it's a classic look that can be completly versatile and a must have staple for Spring/Summer. What do you think?
